Job summary

Sonic HealthPlus Darwin Clinic is seeking a Practice Manager with strong leadership to oversee the daily operations of the clinic, including staff supervision, budgets and patient services. The role is full-time, approximately 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility in hours.

You will lead doctors, administer HR and IT, drive occupational health growth, and foster a collaborative, patient-focused team culture across onsite and in-clinic services.

About the Role

We are seeking a Practice Manager with strong leadership skills to join our Darwin Clinic, (located on Larrakia Country ), on a Full-Time basis, working approximately 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with some flexibility in hours required. In this important position, you will play a critical role in growing the clinic as well as leading and managing its day-to-day operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Business Manager, your responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

The overall management of the practice, ensuring it operates smoothly on a daily basis

Coordinating / liaising with doctors

Monitoring accounts, budgets and finance management as well as information technology

Human resources; training, mentoring and management of administration and nursing staff

Providing a high level of assistance and communication to patients

Business Development and promotion of the clinic focusing on Occupational Health services

About You

The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, ideally gained within the medical industry, preferably within a General Practice or Occupational Health environment. Experience leading teams, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, is essential. Experience using medical software is highly desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. An eye for detail and a desire to provide the best quality service to all staff and clients is essential.

Ability to engage, motivate and manage staff to achieve desired business outcomes

A strong commitment to customer service

Current CPR Certificate and Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain these (please speak to us if you need support in obtaining certification)

Current National Police Clearance
