Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie in Sydney seeks a Practice Executive (Executive Assistant) to provide high-level business support to Partners within the Risk Advisory team. You will handle confidential information, monthly billing, and client campaigns, events and presentations.

Qualifications

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Practice Executive to join our Sydney office on a full time, permanent basis.

This opportunity is responsible for providing high level business support to Partners within the Ashurst Perkins Coie Risk Advisory team. Our Risk Advisory Practice Executives assist with business development support, operational performance and other complex business support duties. You will be responsible for the handling of confidential and sometimes legal privileged information, as well as managing the monthly billing requirements and supporting the planning and execution of client campaigns, events and presentations.

Some other key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Managing the Partner calendars, including coordinating and facilitating meetings, events and schedules on their behalf and key members of the team.
  • Outlook management to ensure organisation of inbox.
  • Communicating with clients directly, screening calls and providing responses - both internal and external.
  • Arranging client secondments and various meetings.

Our Practice Executives play a pivotal role within the firm, ensuring that support services to our Risk Advisory staff are delivered appropriately and within a timely manner. You will work closely with our dedicated hub of Team Assistants to complete any business as usual administrative tasks.

  • Experience with extensive calendar and Outlook management.
  • Experience with complex travel requirements.
  • High degree of forward planning and strategic thinking.
  • High degree of initiative, pro-activity and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to take ownership for the completion of tasks/projects and deliver innovative solutions to improve systems or work practices.
  • Commercial acumen, with the ability to understand the commercial drivers of a risk consulting practice, interpret data and apply client knowledge when supporting Partners with practice management.
  • A client focused approach including the ability to grow a network of professional relationships with counterparts in client organisations as well as with internal stakeholders and colleagues around the firm.
