Job summary

SA Health’s Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network is seeking a Part-time Practice Coordinator for Karoonda Medical Practice. You will handle enquiries, maintain patient confidentiality, and support daily operations to deliver high-quality customer service in a community clinic.

As a key contact, you’ll work with a team to ensure efficient reception and clerical tasks, contributing to a positive patient experience within the RMCLHN network.

About the Role

Join Karoonda Medical Practice as a Practice Coordinator, where you’ll play a key role in delivering friendly, responsive and high-quality customer service. As the primary point of contact, you’ll manage enquiries, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and support the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the practice while making a positive difference to patients and the local community.

What We're Looking For

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrated excellent customer service and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain a helpful, professional manner when dealing with difficult clients.
• Proficient computer, word processing, data entry and medical records administration skills.
• Experience providing administrative and clerical support, with knowledge of relevant practices and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with SA Public Sector Code of Ethics and workplace health and safety policies.

Desired Criteria

• Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage high workloads and meet deadlines.
• Experience in reception, administration and database entry, preferably within a health service environment.
• Knowledge of administrative processes and customer service principles, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
