SEL is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead power system projects in Melbourne, Australia. You will apply advanced protection, automation, and design knowledge to design, validate and commission complex systems, while guiding customers and teams through installation and operation tasks.

You will mentor staff, pursue proposals, and embody SEL values and manufacturing principles. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• 5+ years relevant application experience with electric power systems and focus area practices.
• Knowledge of electric power system protection, control, integration or automation.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally at least 25%.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills; ability to learn new skills.
• Team player with ability to work cooperatively in a project environment.

Responsabilités

• Possesses and applies knowledge of power system focus area and SEL products to complex assignments.
• Lead training and assist customers in design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of automation/protection systems.
• Lead in assigning, completing and implementing work within scope, schedule and budget with high quality and safety.
• Assist in preparing and presenting proposals for SEL equipment, services and systems.
• Mentor and develop professional staff; may supervise as necessary.
• Model and apply SEL values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Duties as assigned; travels up to 80% for commissioning and field work.
