Job summary

Worley is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join its growing Power Networks team in Brisbane, working on renewable energy and grid connection projects across Australia. You will gain hands‑on experience in power system modelling, grid connection, commissioning and compliance within a collaborative, safety‑focused environment.

You will support projects across the National Electricity Market (NEM) and Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM), develop technical documentation and contribute to

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 2–5 years experience in power systems or related fields.
• Understanding of power system analysis and network studies.
• Familiarity with PSCAD, PSS/E or PowerFactory is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with power system studies and grid connection activities for renewables and conventional projects.
• Prepare connection enquiries, technical reports and regulatory submissions.
• Develop and maintain power system models using PSCAD, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Contribute to data analysis, technical calculations and study assessments for clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery teams.
• Learn NEM and WEM requirements and relevant regulatory processes.
• Maintain high-quality technical documentation and project records.
• Support continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing.
