Job summary

Aurecon Group in Perth is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join our Energy team. You will work on network, generator and load models, power system studies, and help clients connect projects to Western Power’s SWIS.

You will collaborate with the team to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions in Western Australia. You will use PowerFactory and PSCAD for modelling, prepare technical reports and connection submissions, engage with clients and Western Power, and provide technical leadership to

Qualifications

• Experience modelling the SWIS and power systems.
• Familiarity with Western Power requirements and reviews.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and connection submissions.

Responsibilities

• Develop network, generator and load models and power systems studies.
• Undertake generator and large load connection studies for renewable energy projects, data centres and large customers.
• Prepare technical reports and connection documentation for Western Power and WEM processes.
• Engage with clients and Western Power, respond to technical reviews, lead discussions through the connection process.
• Provide technical leadership and grow Aurecon’s power systems capability in WA.
