Job summary

Cummins Asia Pacific in the Sydney region offers a 13-month full-time undergraduate internship based at our Wetherill Park office, starting 27 January 2027. This paid placement provides hands-on experience across power generation product engineering and application support.

You will work with the Power Generation Engineering Team on projects, learn CAD modelling, analysis of installations, and documentation, while deferring studies for the duration of the program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Strong mathematics and Excel skills; Visual Basic/macros experience beneficial.
• Interest in power generation applications and product engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support Power Generation Engineering Team with daily tasks on projects and provide engineering support.
• Analyse proposed installations per Cummins PG product manuals.
• Assist with project engineering and documentation for tender submissions.
• Support PG Application Engineers and SPAC Product Management on new product releases and compliance reporting.
• Respond to technical queries from internal and external customers.
• CAD modelling producing SLDs and site layouts as needed.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across departments.
