Job summary

APA Group is seeking an Engineering Manager – Power to lead the Infrastructure Engineering team in Perth, delivering gas-fired power projects and renewable integrations while mentoring engineers and shaping practical technical solutions.

You’ll collaborate with commercial and project teams, ensure standards compliance, manage risk and schedule, and coordinate with consultants, vendors and Owners’ Engineers to drive safe, high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications

Engineering degree required with professional body eligibility.
Experience in gas-fired power generation projects.
Sound technical judgment balancing risk, cost, performance and timelines.
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering activities across complex projects.
Knowledge of Australian and international standards; EH&S legislation.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across technical, operational and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

Lead technical input into early-stage project development and evaluations.
Provide engineering leadership through feasibility, FEED, design reviews and commissioning.
Guide technical aspects of supply, construction agreements, and vendor evaluations.
Coordinate with consultants, Owners’ Engineers, OEMs, vendors and contractors.
Prepare and review engineering documentation including specs, datasheets and reports.
Support business cases, risk assessments and informed decision-making with technical insights.
