Job summary

Paxus is seeking a Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports and data visualisations to support business and operational decision-making.

You will translate business requirements into BI solutions, build semantic models using DAX/Power Query, and integrate data from diverse sources. A hybrid Australia-based role with an initial 12-month contract is offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of Power BI development or BI analytics experience.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
• Solid SQL skills for data extraction, transformation and validation.
• Experience with Power BI Service including workspaces and gateways.
• Familiarity with Azure data services such as Azure SQL or Synapse is desirable.
• NV1 clearance is a must.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into effective Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Develop and optimise semantic models using Power BI, DAX and Power Query.
• Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs and Excel.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers and stakeholders to define KPIs.
• Contribute to reporting standards, reusable components and BI best practices.
