Job summary

D2i Consulting is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Power BI Consultant to translate reporting requirements into practical Power BI solutions. The role spans business analysis, workshop facilitation, dashboard prototyping and Power BI development across functions.

This is an initial three-month engagement with a strong likelihood of extension. Onsite work is required at Port Melbourne office three days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience combining business analysis with hands-on Power BI development.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements documentation skills.
• Ability to translate high-level needs into working reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops to define KPIs, measures, security, and priorities.
• Document requirements and acceptance criteria for reporting.
• Develop Power BI dashboard prototypes and semantic models.
• Design and build dashboards, reports, and semantic models.
• Use SQL to validate data and reconcile report outputs.
• Collaborate with technical teams on data sources and structures.
• Support testing, resolve reporting issues, and coordinate sign-off.
• Provide user guidance and knowledge transfer.
