Midland Industries in Kyneton, VIC is seeking a Powder Coating and Sand Blasting Specialist to join our manufacturing team for a full-time, on-site role at our Kyneton facility. You will prepare, coat and finish components using powder coating and sand blasting while upholding the highest quality and safety standards to meet production schedules.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in coating and blasting, with strong attention to detail and ability to read technical specs.

Competenze

• Proven experience in powder coating and sand blasting or similar surface prep.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to coating operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specs and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Competency in using spray equipment and coating techniques.
• Experience operating industrial equipment safely.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift materials.
• Reliability and punctuality; strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certifications in coating or blasting are desirable.

Mansioni

• Operating sand blasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces to specification.
• Applying powder coating to components using spray application techniques and electrostatic equipment.
• Inspecting finished products for quality, colour consistency and coating thickness.
• Maintaining detailed records of coating batches, materials used and quality checks.
• Cleaning and maintaining all equipment, including spray guns, blasting cabinets and related machinery.
• Following health, safety and environmental procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Identifying and reporting equipment faults or maintenance issues to management.
• Communicating with production teams to ensure schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
• Preparing work areas and ensuring materials are organised and accessible.
