Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to a research program on the behavioural and neural mechanisms of visual perception in ADHD. Based in Brisbane, you will recruit participants, collect and analyse behavioural and EEG data, and publish findings in high-quality journals.

We welcome emerging researchers with a PhD and experience in human behavioural or EEG studies, including clinical populations.

Qualifications

• Completion or near completion of a PhD in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, neuroscience, or closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience conducting research involving human participants.
• Demonstrated capability in analysing behavioural and/or neurophysiological data.
• Experience with EEG data collection and analysis, or demonstrated ability to develop this capability.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills for recruiting and testing participants from a clinical population.
• Emerging research profile with publications in refereed journals and conference presentations.
• Experience contributing to internal service activities and engaging with external academic/professional networks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct participant recruitment and testing, including behavioural and EEG data collection and analysis.
• Produce quality research outputs and disseminate findings through publications, presentations and other channels.
• Contribute to collaborative research projects, competitive funding applications and translation of knowledge.
• Support the development of Honours and HDR students, and participate in unit citizenship and priority activities.
