Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Ports & Maritime Design Manager to guide the technical delivery of major projects in Australia. You will lead multidisciplinary design across port, marine and coastal developments from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.

The role requires strong leadership, design governance, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring of engineers, with hybrid work options and a collaborative, inclusive design culture.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams in large maritime projects.
• Strong design management across project lifecycles.
• Ability to coordinate interfaces across structural, coastal, civil, geotechnical, and environmental disciplines.
• Proven track record in delivering complex maritime infrastructure.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design activities across port, marine and coastal developments.
• Manage delivery from feasibility to construction support.
• Coordinate interfaces across structural, coastal, civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical and environmental disciplines.
• Review designs, calculations, reports and specifications for client alignment with standards.
• Mentor engineers and promote collaborative design culture.
