Job summary

AECOM in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Structural/Maritime Engineer to support a growing coastal, port and maritime project pipeline across ANZ. You’ll deliver robust design, assessment and documentation with emphasis on quality, safety and constructability, partnering with experienced engineers and mentoring early‑career colleagues.

You will work on multidisciplinary deliverables, develop PS&E packages and contribute to independent design elements for wharves, jetties and seawalls while adhering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in structural and/or maritime engineering.
• Proficient in design and analysis of marine structures and foundations.
• Competent with structural analysis tools and in preparing calculations and drawings.
• Chartered (CPEng) or progressing toward chartered status is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specific and moderate portions of broader engineering assignments under guidance.
• Gather and correlate engineering data with traceability and quality.
• Complete detailed calculations and tests to support design development.
• Develop approaches to new problems using established procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and graduates in day‑to‑day activities.
• Meet budgets and schedules with minimal supervision.
• Independently complete primary design elements for maritime and structural works.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams during reviews.
• Develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates.
