AECOM is seeking a senior Design Manager to lead the design management and delivery of ports and maritime infrastructure in Melbourne. You’ll own packages of work, coordinate across teams in Australia and globally, and ensure technical delivery meets industry standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Design Manager, Technical Lead, Project Manager or Senior Engineer within ports, coastal or maritime infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams across complex maritime infrastructure projects.
• Delivery of design and planning for ports, marine structures, coastal infrastructure or waterfront developments.
• Ability to own and deliver packages of work within major infrastructure programs.
• Strong client engagement and stakeholder management with port authorities and government agencies.
• Experience coordinating teams across multiple offices, regions or international delivery environments.
• Passion for delivering infrastructure that supports coastal communities, trade and long-term economic growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design management and delivery of ports and maritime infrastructure projects, including port expansions, marine structures, coastal infrastructure and waterfront developments.
• Own and manage packages of work, taking accountability for scope, program, technical delivery and client outcomes.
• Coordinate with AECOM teams across Australia and across the globe, leveraging design capability to deliver complex maritime projects; act as client interface with port authorities and government agencies.
• Manage project delivery end-to-end, including design and commercial management, programme coordination and multidisciplinary technical integration.
• Provide leadership across maritime and coastal engineering disciplines, ensuring designs align with industry standards and best practice; mentor engineers and strengthen delivery teams.
