Job summary

The Star Brisbane is seeking expressions of interest for part-time Porters to join the Concierge Team. We are also seeking an Overnight part-time Porter to join the team!

You can indicate if you are interested in this role in your application form. Successful candidates will have prior porter/concierge experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills, with a positive, guest‑focused approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a porter or concierge role.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Brisbane area and local attractions is a plus.
• Willingness to assist guests and handle luggage and parking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest‑facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver luggage to guest rooms and assist with parking/vehicle retrieval.
• Provide information on local attractions and events to guests.
• Assist with 24/7 rotating shifts and flexible scheduling.
• Support Concierge Team in daily operations and guest requests.

The Porter is the primary point of contact for our valued guests and visitors. Your role will be diverse, from delivering luggage to guest rooms and parking or retrieving vehicles, to offering insights on local attractions and events to our guests.

• Prior experience in a similar capacity
• Valid driver's license
• Exceptional presentations and communication skills
• Affinity for Brisbane area, including knowledge of the local community and its surroundings
• Strong organizational skills for coordinating guest requests and tasks
• Availability for 24/7 rotating shifts
• Ability to work seamlessly in a team environment
