Job summary

QT Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly Concierge/Porter to greet guests and deliver personalised local recommendations, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay. You’ll manage concierge and porter duties, handle luggage, and provide front-of-house support with confident, professional presence in a fast-paced environment, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Use hotel computer systems to manage reservations and guest information, coordinate with other departments, and ensure every guest

Qualifications

• Hotel front-of-house experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license to operate guest vehicles.
• Ability to anticipate guest needs and respond promptly.
• Warm, professional interpersonal approach with guests.
• Strong knowledge of local attractions and dining options.
• Experience handling luggage transfers and front-of-house coordination.
• Collaborative mindset to coordinate guest requests across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create exceptional first impressions as a key point of contact for guests, delivering warm, knowledgeable service and personalised local recommendations that set the tone for an unforgettable stay.
• Take ownership of concierge and porter duties, including luggage handling, guest requests, and front-of-house support, bringing a confident, professional presence to our busiest spaces.
• Bring strong communication and interpersonal skills to every guest and colleague interaction, accurately capturing requests, resolving issues on the spot, and ensuring service feels effortless.
• Get hands-on with our computer systems and property management tools, managing reservations, updating guest information, and processing transactions with speed and precision.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment by putting your problem-solving, organisational, and multitasking skills to work, with the flexibility to cover varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous hotel experience in a similar guest-facing role, with a genuine passion for hospitality and a knack for creating memorable guest experiences.
• A valid Driver's Licence and the confidence to safely operate guest vehicles; prior valet parking experience is a big plus.
• An instinct for anticipating guest needs and attending to them promptly, delivering service that feels personal and timely, every time.
• Natural interpersonal warmth, with the ability to offer genuine, professional greetings and farewells to every guest, every time.
• Great local knowledge, ready to help guests plan reservations and discover the best attractions and dining Melbourne has to offer.
• Confidence handling guest luggage transfers and keeping our hotel entrance and foyer polished, welcoming, and guest-ready.
• A collaborative approach to coordinating guest requests across departments, following through to make sure every guest leaves satisfied.
