Mullumbimby Pools in Mullumbimby and Bangalow, NSW, is seeking a Pool Shop Assistant to join the friendly team in a full-time retail environment. You will be the face of our business, delivering excellent customer service and supporting day-to-day store operations.

You will greet customers, handle sales at the POS, maintain stock, advise on pool maintenance products, and help keep displays attractive. A friendly attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physical fitness for lifting and moving pool products.

Responsibilities

This is a full time position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment. As a Pool Shop Assistant, you will be the face of our business, providing excellent customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of our pool supply store. This role is essential to ensuring our customers receive expert advice and quality products to maintain their pools in pristine condition.

What you'll be doing

Greeting customers warmly and providing friendly, knowledgeable assistance with pool products and services

Processing sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale systems

Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked retail environment

Identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate pool maintenance products and solutions

Answering customer enquiries regarding pool chemicals, equipment and maintenance advice

Assisting with receiving and unpacking deliveries of stock

Managing inventory levels and flagging items that require reordering

Supporting promotional activities and ensuring product displays are attractive and current

Following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant working environment

What we're looking for

Previous retail or customer service experience is highly desirable

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers confidently

A friendly, helpful attitude and genuine passion for providing excellent customer service

Reliability and a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently

Basic numeracy skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems or willingness to learn quickly

Flexibility to work varied part-time hours, which may include weekends

A keen interest in pools and pool maintenance is beneficial but not essential
