Auspools & Spas Pty Ltd in New South Wales is seeking a reliable, practical person with construction experience to join our owner-builder and grow into a leading hand. You'll perform pool pre-plumbing, dig trenches, install equipment, and coordinate with subcontractors as knowledge grows.

This role offers hands-on training, a clear path to a leading-hand position, and a small, supportive team. Applicants should have a current driver's licence and White Card.

Qualifications

• Practical construction experience and confidence using tools.
• Some relevant plumbing or pipework experience, with the ability and willingness to learn pool-specific systems.
• Direct pool plumbing experience is highly regarded.
• Willingness to do physical work every day, including digging and cleanup.
• Reliability, punctuality and clear communication.
• A current driver's licence and White Card.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pool pre-plumbing and equipment installation with guidance from the owner-builder.
• Dig trenches, prepare work areas and assist with general construction tasks.
• Install temporary site fencing and clean up after trades.
• Take measurements, calculate material quantities and organise collections.
• Work with excavation, concreting and tiling subcontractors to keep sites ready for each stage.
• Progress toward completing agreed tasks independently, checking workmanship and identifying issues before work proceeds.

Auspools & Spas builds custom concrete swimming pools. We're looking for a reliable, practical person with construction experience and a plumbing foundation to work alongside our owner-builder and grow into a trusted leading hand.

You'll be actively involved in the physical work while learning how to bring the different stages of pool construction together. As your knowledge develops, you'll take on more responsibility for organising tasks, solving site problems and making decisions within your experience.

What you'll do

• Carry out pool pre-plumbing, pipework and equipment installation alongside our owner-builder, with guidance appropriate to your skills.
• Dig trenches, prepare work areas and assist with general construction tasks.
• Install temporary site fencing and clean up after trades.
• Take measurements, calculate material quantities and organise collections.
• Work with our excavation, concreting and tiling subcontractors to help keep sites ready for each stage.
• Progress toward completing agreed tasks independently, checking workmanship and identifying issues before work proceeds.
