PoolReady and Workforce Extensions Geelong are seeking a Pool Service & Maintenance Technician to service Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast. You will travel between residential and commercial clients using a company vehicle, responsible for servicing, maintenance and presentation of pools.

This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on attitude and problem solving. We value practical, independent workers who communicate well with customers, respect homes, and are comfortable outdoors

Qualifications

• No prior pool technician experience required.
• Must be practical, hands-on and enjoy figuring out how things work.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability.
• Able to work independently over time with minimal supervision.
• Reliable with good customer communication and privacy respect.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round with physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Service and clean swimming pools at residential and commercial sites.
• Test water and maintain chemical/pH levels.
• Add chlorine, acid and other pool chemicals as required.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot pool equipment and repair/replace components.
• Install pumps, heaters, chlorinators, filters and related equipment.
• Program/commission pool equipment and maintain stock in vehicle.
• Maintain service records and report to client with professionalism.

Workforce Extensions Geelong is proud to partner with PoolReady to recruit their next Pool Service & Maintenance Technician. PoolReady is a growing, family-owned pool service and maintenance business servicing Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast. Since commencing in 2020, the business has grown its client base and revenue significantly while building a strong reputation for personalised, high-quality service.

As PoolReady continues to grow, they are looking for another great person to join their field team. For this position, attitude comes first, hands-on ability second and pool experience third.

The role

Working throughout Geelong, the Bellarine, and Surf Coast, you'll travel between residential and commercial clients using a company vehicle and take responsibility for the servicing, maintenance, and presentation of their pools.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and cleaning swimming pools
• Testing water and maintaining correct chemical and pH levels
• Adding chlorine, acid and other pool chemicals as required
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting pool equipment
• Repairing and replacing pool equipment
• Installing pumps, heaters, chlorinators, filters, lights, and associated equipment
• Programming electronic pool equipment and control systems
• Setting up new pool equipment
• Maintaining equipment and chemical stock within your vehicle
• Following a daily service schedule and managing your time effectively
• Completing service records and reporting requirements
• Communicating professionally with clients
• Taking care when working within clients' homes and properties.

Who we're looking for

You don't need to be an experienced Pool Technician to be considered.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is practical, hands-on and enjoys figuring out how things work
• Has strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability
• Can eventually work independently without needing constant supervision
• Is reliable and takes ownership of their work
• Presents well and communicates confidently with customers
• Treats customers' homes, equipment, and privacy with respect
• Is comfortable working outdoors throughout the year
• Is physically capable of lifting equipment, kneeling, bending, and working in confined areas
• Holds a current driver's licence
• Can swim

Experience within pools and spas, plumbing, pumps, irrigation, landscaping, carpentry, property maintenance, construction, or mechanical servicing would be advantageous.
