Job summary

GHS Solutions seeks an experienced Poly Welder for site works around the Midwest region, with FIFO or DIDO from Perth or Geraldton. This full-time permanent role offers regional opportunities and a salary range of AUD 79,499–100,000 per year.

Candidates should hold a Poly Welding Ticket (Butt Weld & Electrofusion), a Construction Industry White Card, and a current Police Clearance. On-site welding experience and safety compliance are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience as a Poly welder.
• Experience in butt weld and electrofusion welding on pipelines.
• On-site welding experience on mine/construction sites is required.
• Ability to operate a variety of Poly welding equipment, including Dixon welders.

Responsibilities

• Read piping and Instrumentation diagrams to plan layouts.
• Weld pipes from DN63 to DN350.
• Conduct commissioning on mechanical components in pipelines.
• Monitor machinery usage and temperatures to ensure safety and quality.
• Assess welded surfaces and structures for defects and compliance.

Purpose of the Position

GHS Solutions has an exciting opportunity for experienced Poly Welders for site works in and around the Midwest Region. This role is for Project work on various sites around the Midwest, FIFO or DIDO from Perth or Geraldton

License Requirements

• Poly Welding Ticket (Butt Weld & Electrofusion)
• Construction Industry White Card
• Current Police Clearance (obtained within the past 12 months)
• Forklift License (desirable)
• Telehandler Tickets (desirable)
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol test

Experience Required

• A minimum of 1 year post qualified experience as a Poly welder
• A minimum of 1 year of proven experience working as Poly welder in all aspects of butt and electro fusion welding experience in operator roles in relevant mine/construction sites.
• A minimum of 1 year experience using a variety of Poly welding equipment and procedures specifically ( Dixon welder).
• A minimum of 1 year experience operating on site

Key Duties Of This Role Includes

• Strong understanding of pipeline instrumentation
• Interpret piping and Instrumentation diagram blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts
• Welding a range of pipe diameter ranging from DN63 – DN350
• Conduct commissioning on all mechanical components on pipelines.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
• Working knowledge of site safety requirements to observe and maintain a high level of safety practice at all time
