Job summary

MCA Engineering is seeking experienced Poly Welders for a long-term surface construction project in Mt Isa. You will carry out poly welding work to a high standard, supporting safety and quality workmanship on site.

This casual role offers an immediate start with potential to transition to full-time as the 12-18 month project progresses. Candidates must reside in Mt Isa or relocate, with relocation assistance possible.

Qualifications

• Poly Welding Ticket required.
• Minimum 2 years' poly welding experience.
• Current driver’s licence; willing to relocate to Mt Isa.
• Experience on mining, civil or industrial projects.
• Commitment to workplace safety and ability to pass medical and drug/alcohol tests.
• Relocation assistance may be available for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

• Carry out poly welding activities to a high standard.
• Maintain quality workmanship and safety on site.
• Prepare, inspect and maintain welding equipment and consumables.
• Collaborate with mining/industrial project teams to meet project targets.

We are seeking experienced Poly Welders to join our team for a 12-18 month surface construction project in Mt Isa. You will be responsible for carrying out poly welding activities to a high standard while maintaining quality workmanship and a strong focus on safety.

About the Candidate

• Poly Welding Ticket
• Minimum 2 years' experience in poly welding

• Additional tickets and experience that would be highly regarded include: Rigging, Dogging, Franna Non Slew, Excavator ticket, HR Licence

Work Environment

Starting indicative pay rates (under the Enterprise Agreement): $50-$60 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
