Job summary

Maffra Poly & Pumps in Maffra, Victoria are seeking a Poly Butt and ElectroFusion Welder and PVC Tradesman and Fabricator All Rounder to support irrigation and farming projects across Gippsland. The role requires trade qualifications and PE welding experience, with site work and travel across Gippsland.

Base location is Maffra, hours 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, and a vehicle is supplied for work. Wage is dependant on experience, starting from $35 per hour up to $56 per hour for construction

Qualifications

• Manual Driver’s Licence is required.
• Polyethylene welding experience up to 500mm.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
• Trade qualifications in PE Welding, Plumbing, Boiler Making or Automotive.
• Experience in Irrigation and farming preferred.
• Medium Heavy Rigid Licence and Excavator experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support clients across Gippsland with irrigation and farming projects.
• Weld, fabricate and install poly and PVC components.
• Work across site locations with occasional travel.
• Operate with safety and site procedures.

About the Role

We are looking for staff with professionalism and trade experience to help support our clients in getting water to where it needs to go. Maffra Poly operates on sites throughout Gippsland and across Southern and Eastern Victoria. Work mobile included and vehicle during work hours supplied. Base location is in Maffra with hours working from 8am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. We pay our staff in accordance with the Manufacturing Award.

Required:

Manual Driver’s Licence

Polyethylene Welding experience up to 500mm

Physically fit and able to work in harsh environments and able to lift heavy items when required

Trade Qualified in either PE Welding, Plumbing, Boiler Making, Automotive or similar Industries

Looked at Favourably

Experience in Irrigation and Farming

Medium Heavy Rigid Licence and Excavator Experience

Other Trade Qualifications and work experience in Construction

Wage is dependant on experience in the field and starts from $35 per hour in our local workshop up to $56 per hour for Construction Supervisors . We have the opportunity for Major Site Work in the Latrobe Valley for the right candidate. This requires experience in large PE welding over 500mm.
