Job summary

Guild Insurance in Australia is seeking a Policy Wording Specialist to maintain and develop our policy wordings within the Product & Underwriting team. You will work across product, underwriting, claims, risk and compliance to ensure our documents are clear, compliant and aligned with customer and regulatory needs.

You'll bring insurance industry experience, excellent drafting and stakeholder skills to review wordings, draft amendments, and support new product development.

Qualifications

• Experience within the insurance industry.
• Strong written communication and drafting skills.
• Ability to interpret and simplify complex information.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and sound judgement.
• Confidence working with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Experience with financial lines products is highly regarded.
• Legal qualifications or relevant legal experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review, update and maintain Guild's suite of policy wordings and product documentation.
• Identify coverage gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Draft policy wording amendments, endorsements and product updates.
• Support the development of new products and wordings.
• Partner with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, risk, compliance, legal and business teams.
• Monitor and respond to regulatory and legislative changes impacting Guild's products.
• Support change implementation, customer communications and stakeholder briefings.
• Help improve the clarity and consistency of customer-facing policy documentation.

About You

We're looking for an insurance professional who enjoys analysing policy language, solving technical problems and working through complex issues with a variety of stakeholders.

You might currently be working in policy wordings, underwriting, claims, product, risk, compliance or a related legal environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
