The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists is seeking a Policy Officer (0.6 FTE) to join the Policy, Advocacy and Standards Unit in Sydney. This part-time role offers flexibility, with three to five days per week across three, four or five days, and involves researching complex policy issues and preparing briefs for senior stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant work experience in policy development, strategy or related fields.
• Experience in healthcare and/or professional associations is desirable.
• Experience researching and synthesising information from diverse sources to support decision-making and policy positions.
• Excellent written communication skills, including drafting policy documents, briefing papers and reports for senior stakeholders.
• Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders and managing competing perspectives.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking to interpret complex information and identify issues, implications and opportunities.
• Ability to work effectively in uncertainty and support policy positions with incomplete information or diverse perspectives.

Responsabilidades

• Research, analyse and draft content on policy issues with input from clinical leads.
• Support policy and guidance material development through stakeholder engagement.
• Prepare reports, discussion papers and briefing materials for committees and senior stakeholders.
• Provide policy and strategic advice on emerging healthcare issues.
• Provide secretariat support to committees including agendas, minutes and action tracking.
• Participate in committee or stakeholder meetings and conferences.
• Monitor emerging evidence, technologies, policy developments and trends relevant to priority areas.
