Job summary

The Workforce Futures branch within the Jobs and Skills Australia initiative is recruiting an APS6 Data Analyst. The role focuses on identifying, obtaining and analyzing diverse data sources to strengthen policy advice and inform workforce initiatives.

You will work on modelling and data integration challenges, ensure data quality, and support stakeholder engagement across government bodies to deliver robust labour market insights for Australian employment priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
• Ability to source and merge diverse data sources.
• Develop analytical datasets with rigorous methodology.
• Prepare briefs, summaries and dashboards from analytics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis to inform policy advice.
• Use a range of data sources and methods to support delivery of projects and priorities.
• Develop and maintain analytical datasets, code and outputs with methodological rigor.
• Prepare analytical outputs and translate into briefs, summaries, dashboards or other products.
• Work collaboratively in a team and with technical and enabling teams.
