Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action VIC – Victoria seeks a Policy Officer to support the Partnerships team in establishing Offshore Wind in Victoria and delivering community benefits to local regions and Traditional Owners. You will help develop and implement projects, including community engagement plans and OWEV communications.

Qualifications

Familiarity with government processes and operations.
Experience in providing strategic advice to government.
Experience working with Councils and regional communities and Traditional Owner groups.
Understanding of energy transition landscape and regional offshore wind contexts.

Responsibilities

Support the Partnerships team in developing and implementing community engagement plans and communications for Offshore Wind Energy Victoria (OWEV).
Assist in consultation and policy development, including a community benefit-sharing policy for offshore wind in Victoria.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement across government, community and industry and liaise with regional organisations and committees.
