The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action VIC in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Project Officer to drive industry engagement for Victoria's offshore wind program. You will liaise with offshore wind proponents and internal teams to support program activities and ensure clear dialogue with stakeholders.

You will lead market engagement, gather feedback for robust strategies and help design policy. The role is pivotal to the state’s offshore wind auction and project advancement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge or experience in engagement with industry stakeholders is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge with government decision-making processes is desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the National Electricity Market and policy development is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead effective industry engagement, cultivating strong relationships with offshore wind proponents and working with department colleagues to support Victoria's offshore wind program activities.
• Act as a crucial liaison, providing program-related advice and facilitating clear, consistent dialogue between the department and the offshore wind industry.
• Conduct formal market engagement and gather feedback to inform robust program strategies and policy design.
• Support the execution of the State's offshore wind auction and advance offshore wind energy projects in Victoria.
