Job summary

The Senior Policy Officer at Energy Group - DEECA contributes to offshore wind regulatory reforms for Victoria, coordinating with diverse stakeholders to inform a bespoke regulatory framework spanning Victorian and Commonwealth jurisdictions.

You will monitor policy developments, apply legal, policy and economic analysis to regulatory issues, and report findings, collaborating with Regulatory Compliance and Engagement teams and external agencies in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in law, economics, regulatory or public policy is desirable.
• Experience or familiarity with energy, environment, biodiversity, land or native title policy is desirable.
• Understanding of renewable energy policy in Victoria and Australia is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to offshore wind regulatory reforms and inform bespoke regulatory framework developments across Victorian and Commonwealth jurisdictions.
• Monitor policy and regulatory developments in energy, land and environmental reforms and provide analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance and Engagement teams and external stakeholders to secure support for reforms.
