Job summary

Markets Group is seeking APS6 Analysts to contribute to policy across the financial system, retirement incomes, consumer protection, corporate regulation and digital economy. Qualifications

• Experience in policy development and implementation.
• Legislative and regulatory reform experience.
• Financial services and financial regulation knowledge.
• Stakeholder engagement and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake complex policy analysis and provide strategic advice on economic, legal and regulatory issues.
• Prepare ministerial briefs, Cabinet submissions, correspondence and consultation materials.
• Manage components of legislative and regulatory reform projects from design through implementation.
• Analyse data, stakeholder feedback and market developments to inform policy recommendations and government decisions.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with regulators, industry, consumer groups and other government agencies.
• Coordinate work across stakeholders to support government priorities and reform outcomes.
• Support and mentor junior staff and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
