Job summary

The Treasury of Australia is seeking APS6 Analysts to contribute to policy development and implementation across the financial system, retirement incomes, consumer protection, corporate regulation and the digital economy. You will work closely with ministers, regulators, industry and consumer groups to deliver reforms that strengthen Australia's economy.

Responsibilities

• Undertake complex policy analysis and provide strategic advice on economic, legal and regulatory issues.
• Prepare high-quality ministerial briefs, Cabinet submissions, correspondence and consultation materials.
• Manage significant components of legislative and regulatory reform projects from design through to implementation.
• Analyse data, stakeholder feedback and market developments to inform policy recommendations and government decision-making.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with regulators, industry, consumer groups and other government agencies.
• Coordinate work across stakeholders to support the delivery of government priorities and reform outcomes.
• Support and mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture.
