Job summary

Downer Group's Energy & Utilities business is seeking an experienced Plumber to join the facilities maintenance team supporting Chevron operations in Western Australia. You will perform planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across site facilities, including installing fire water pipework, replacing hot water units, and repairing leaks.

The role requires fault-finding skills, a commitment to safe work practices, and the ability to coordinate with other trades while adhering to site procedures

Qualifications

• Current Construction White Card.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Experience completing planned and reactive plumbing maintenance within facilities or an industrial environment.
• Demonstrated fault-finding skills across plumbing, water systems, hot water units and associated pipework.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices, site procedures, good housekeeping and working collaboratively with other trades.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across site facilities.
• Install and modify fire water pipework and replace hot water units.
• Investigate and repair water leaks, taps, toilets and cisterns; complete general plumbing maintenance.
• Conduct fault finding and preventative maintenance, respond to urgent breakdowns.
• Coordinate with other trades and communicate repair material requirements to supervision.
• Work safely and in accordance with site procedures, permits and plumbing requirements.

The Opportunity

Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking an experienced Plumber to join our facilities maintenance team supporting Chevron operations in Western Australia. In this role, you will carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across site facilities. Your work will include installing and modifying fire water pipework associated with fire water tanks, replacing hot water units, investigating and repairing water leaks, repairing taps, washers, toilets and cisterns, and completing general plumbing maintenance.

You will also conduct fault finding and preventative maintenance, respond to urgent breakdowns, coordinate with other trades and communicate additional repair and material requirements to supervision. All work must be completed safely and in accordance with site procedures, permits and relevant plumbing requirements.
