Job summary

Ku-ring-gai Council, located 16 km north of Sydney, seeks a dedicated plumber to maintain public buildings, parks and facilities. You will report to the Coordinator Building & Trades Services and perform maintenance, repairs and installations across multiple sites.

About the role

Council is seeking a dedicated and reliable Plumber to join our team, ensuring our local infrastructure and public facilities remain in excellent working order.

Reporting to the Coordinator Building & Trades Services, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform a wide range of plumbing services across various sites, including maintenance, repairs, and installations in public buildings, parks, and community facilities
• Respond to plumbing emergencies quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to council services
• Work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality, timely service delivery
• Maintain accurate records of all plumbing work carried out and comply with relevant health and safety regulations

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Relevant plumbing qualifications and a current driver’s licence
• Proven experience as a plumber
• Sound knowledge of plumbing systems, maintenance, and repair techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
• 38 hours per week/9 day fortnight
