Job summary

The Creche and Kindergarten Association (C&K) Mackay Children and Family Centre Hub is seeking a Playgroup Facilitator to lead inclusive playgroup activities, tailored to each child’s needs and cultural background. This is a community-focused role that fosters belonging and growth for local families.

You will support children’s early learning, uphold child safety policies, and collaborate with families and colleagues to deliver nurturing programs and experiences every day.

What you’ll bring

We strongly uphold our child safety policies and procedures. To thrive and succeed in this role, you will have:

• Valid Blue Card and current Police Check
• Completion of the National Child Safety Training – Foundation Certificate
• Minimum Certificate III in in Children’s Services and or/ disability and/or related discipline (or working toward).
• Demonstrated experience in working with and facilitating the participation with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or Australian Sea Islander Families.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team environment to achieve positive outcomes for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Australian South Sea Islander families.
• Sound knowledge of local service providers offering playgroup and other early years learning and health support for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Australian South Sea Islander families.
• Demonstrated experience in building the capacity of families and the community.
