Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) invites applications for an Early Childhood Teacher. This full-time role focuses on planning and delivering a high-quality, inclusive curriculum, reflecting the interests and needs of all children in our centre.

The role requires strong EYLF/NQF knowledge, NESA accreditation, and 2+ years in a childcare setting, with a supportive team and not-for-profit environment. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Hold an Early Childhood Teaching approved qualification such as a Bachelor of Teaching or Education.
• NESA Teacher Accreditation is required.
• Current First Aid Certificate approved by ACECQA with emergency management training.
• Identify & Respond to Children at Risk of Harm certification.
• Working with Children Check of validity.
• Completed mandatory national child safety training via GECCKO.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a childcare environment.
• Solid knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Demonstrated curriculum development experience and documenting children’s learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nominated Supervisor in developing a responsive, play-based curriculum aligned with EYLF and NQF.
• Use intentional teaching to extend learning based on children's interests, abilities and culture.
• Collaborate as part of a dynamic team to maintain a positive workplace culture.
• Support leadership tasks, guide educational practice, mentor educators and contribute to the QIP.
• Partner with families through ongoing communication and respectful collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures.
