Job summary

Platypus Shoes Singleton is seeking a Store Manager to lead a passionate retail team and drive sales in a high-volume environment.

You will work with the Area Manager to identify growth opportunities, coach your team, and maintain visual merchandising standards.

This role includes rostering, wage cost controls, and delivering an outstanding customer experience in a busy store. You will participate in regular training and leadership conferences as part of the position.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a high-volume retail environment.
• Strong leadership with a results-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication and team development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales and manage store performance.
• Experience with stock management, operations, and visual merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by achieving sales targets, KPIs, and merchandising standards.
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver sales and customer service.
• Monitor daily, weekly, monthly sales; celebrate wins and identify improvements.
• Manage rosters and wage costs aligned with targets.
• Coach and develop staff with training, morale, and succession planning.
• Oversee stock levels, store presentation, and operational excellence.
• Ensure OH&S standards and legislation compliance.

As the Store Manager at Platypus Shoes Singleton, you'll lead a team of passionate casual team members alongside your Assistant Store Manager. Your primary mission is to drive sales and KPIs, coach and inspire your team, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You'll work closely with your Area Manager to identify and act on opportunities for growth, all while operating in a high-profile retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the overall performance of your store by achieving sales targets, KPIs, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Lead and motivate your team to deliver outstanding results in sales and customer service.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales, celebrating wins and identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage rosters and wage costs in line with company targets and operational needs.
• Coach and develop team members, ensuring ongoing training, high morale, and strong succession planning.
• Oversee stock levels, store presentation, and operational excellence.
• Ensure adherence to OH&S standards and legislation.
