Job summary

Platypus Shoes Canberra Outlet is seeking a Store Manager to lead a passionate casual team under the Area Manager. Your main mission is to drive sales, KPIs and deliver an outstanding customer experience in a high-volume retail environment.

You will oversee rosters, stock, visual merchandising and training, while maintaining OH&S standards and visual standards. You will coach and develop staff and partner with store leadership to identify growth opportunities.

• Demonstrated experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a high-volume retail environment.
• Strong leadership with a results-focused and proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication and team development skills.
• Proven ability to drive sales and manage store performance.

Responsibilities

• Drive the overall performance of your store by achieving sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead and motivate your team to deliver sales and customer service excellence.
• Monitor sales and celebrate wins while identifying areas for improvement.

About The Role

As the Store Manager at Platypus Shoes Canberra Outlet, you'll lead a team of passionate casual team members alongside your Assistant Store Manager. Your primary mission is to drive sales and KPIs, coach and inspire your team, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You'll work closely with your Area Manager to identify and act on opportunities for growth, all while operating in a high-profile retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the overall performance of your store by achieving sales targets, KPIs, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Lead and motivate your team to deliver outstanding results in sales and customer service.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales, celebrating wins and identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage rosters and wage costs in line with company targets and operational needs.
• Coach and develop team members, ensuring ongoing training, high morale, and strong succession planning.
• Oversee stock levels, store presentation, and operational excellence.
• Ensure adherence to OH&S standards and legislation.

• Demonstrated experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in a high-volume retail environment
