Job summary

Learnosity is seeking a Platform Engineering Manager based in Australia to lead the Platform team and drive reliable platform delivery. You will own the backlog and roadmap, guiding prioritisation and ensuring alignment with business goals across multiple locations.

You will partner with CloudOps, manage engineers across Australia and Dublin, and shape the platform as a product with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset. Strong AWS, CI/CD, and Python automation are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of engineering experience, including 2–3 years leading or managing engineers.
• Experience leading distributed teams across multiple locations and time zones.
• Ownership of a delivery backlog and roadmap: prioritisation, scoping, and translating strategy into a plan.
• Decisive technical judgement: able to resolve competing technical opinions and make the final call.

Responsibilities

• Leads Platform engineers day to day: performance, career development, team health, workload, hiring and onboarding.
• Owns Platform backlog as its product owner, prioritises work and delivers against outcomes.
• Translates SVP strategy into a prioritized platform roadmap and makes final platform technology calls.
• Collaborates with CloudOps and stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and clear handoffs.
• Maintains standards and modern engineering practices across a distributed team.
