Job summary

Mitti by SafetyCulture is building a platform-driven, scalable infrastructure in Sydney, focused on Kubernetes and cloud-native delivery. You’ll own critical parts of the Internal Developer Platform, working autonomously on complex components and guiding platform evolution.

Expect to apply Go, Kubernetes, AWS, Python and Terraform to deliver reliable SaaS services, while mentoring a small team and advocating quality with AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Go for platform and infrastructure work.
• Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience at scale.
• AWS depth with GCP or other clouds as a plus.
• Proficiency in Python and Terraform.
• Familiar with GitOps and CI/CD practices.
• Linux and networking experience with troubleshooting.
• Experience with SaaS architectures and scale.
• Build-vs-buy instincts for tooling decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build resilient, scalable foundational infrastructure.
• Adopt new technology or architectural approaches, own initiatives end-to-end.
• Evolve the Internal Developer Platform for engineers to interact with infrastructure.
• Translate engineering needs into delivered outcomes across teams.
• Influence solution design early to prevent operational problems.
• Facilitate cross-team discussions to reach technical outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership to a small team, coaching engineers.
• Use AI-assisted tools to produce high-quality production code.
