UpGuard is seeking a Platform Engineer in Melbourne to shape our platform engineering function. This role offers the opportunity to define foundational systems and tools essential for our engineers.

You will own scalable, reliable infrastructure on Google Cloud, enhancing development workflows and driving best practices. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of relevant experience and strong skills in infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, and backend engineering, especially in Go.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant engineering experience at tech‑centric companies.
• Strong foundation in software engineering with a developer‑first mindset.
• Experience in product security and shifting security left in SDLC.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud.
