Job summary

Lumi in Sydney is seeking a Platform Engineer to bridge software development and infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance and scalability of our engineering platforms. You will build out infrastructure, refine CI/CD pipelines, and establish robust monitoring to support fast deployments; you will optimize MongoDB and PostgreSQL within a modern event-driven architecture to empower engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS cloud infrastructure experience.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems.

The Role

As a platform Engineer, you will bridge the gap between software development and infrastructure system operations to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our engineering platforms.

This is a highly technical, hands‑on role where you will focus on building out our infrastructure, refining CI/CD pipelines, and establishing robust monitoring systems to support our fast‑paced deployments.

You will play a crucial part in optimizing our databases and supporting our modern event‑driven architecture, enabling our engineering teams to deliver high‑quality software efficiently and securely.

Additionally, we are in the early stages of an exciting journey to build MLOps and agentic infrastructures. This role presents an excellent opportunity to learn and actively participate in building and scaling production‑level AI infrastructure and agents.

This Person Is Someone With...

• Hands‑on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, Docker and Kubernetes (or similar).
• A track record of building CI/CD pipelines and creating comprehensive infrastructure monitoring systems.
• Proven experience in database performance monitoring and optimization, specifically with hands‑on expertise in MongoDB and Postgres, including cluster management, query optimization and performance tuning.
• An eagerness to learn MLOps principles and a strong desire to help build out new production‑level AI infrastructure.
