Job summary

Randstad Digital Australia in Sydney is seeking a Platform Engineer focused on GCP and Kubernetes to own and evolve the scalable platform powering high-scale, customer-facing products.

You will design, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP/GKE, build secure CI/CD pipelines, improve observability, and integrate API gateways and service meshes in an AI-assisted environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing GCP and Kubernetes (GKE) at scale.
• Proven ability to build secure automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong automation and system integration background.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

The Role

• Design, automate, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP and GKE.
• Build modern CI/CD delivery pipelines to ensure secure, repeatable software releases.
• Enhance observability, logging, and monitoring frameworks across containerised workloads.
• Automate complex migration tooling and integrate core platform components, including API gateways and service meshes.
• Work in an AI-assisted engineering ecosystem (e.g. Copilot, Claude) to accelerate delivery speed and maintain security standards.

• Strong hands on expertise managing and scaling GCP and Kubernetes (GKE) environments.

• Solid background in infrastructure automation, system integrations, and observability.
• Experience or comfort leveraging AI-assisted development tools to drive efficiency.
