Job summary

CareCone Group is seeking a Platform Engineer in Sydney, Australia, to design and manage CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms. You will collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless feature delivery, while enforcing security, observability, and scalable best practices across cloud providers.

You will contribute to self-service tooling,GitOps workflows, and standardized delivery patterns, and participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and hands on experience with CI/CD tools.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and updates.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ensure security best practices are followed in all deployment processes.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices for team knowledge sharing.
• Participate in on call rotations to support production systems.

• Creates opinionated, reusable building blocks such as service templates, CI/CD pipeline primitives, Kubernetes baselines, and observability packages with clear upgrade and escape hatch strategies.
• Self Service & GitOps Automation
• Enables teams through APIs, CLIs, and GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD), reducing manual approvals and support load while maintaining guardrails.
• 5. Containers & Multi Tenant Kubernetes Platforms
• Deep understanding of containerized workloads, Helm based deployments, and platform level Kubernetes controls for isolation, quotas, and scalability across many teams.
