Job summary

Speechify, a global text-to-speech platform, is seeking a Software Engineer for the Platform team in Sydney. You will design, build, and own backend APIs powering payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics across iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, and web.

You will work with product, mobile, and web teams to keep backend architecture ahead of the product roadmap, deploying high-availability services on containerized infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven backend experience in TS/Node required.
• Direct experience with GCP; working knowledge of AWS or Azure.
• Experience with containerized deployments (Docker) and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own the APIs behind payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics.
• Improve existing services to be faster, cheaper, and more reliable.
• Ensure correctness through testing and validation before release.
