Job summary

Viking Plastics Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Plastics Engineer/Fabricator/Welder to join a small, dedicated team in a modern, clean workshop in Melbourne.

You will fabricate engineered plastic products, interpret drawings and specifications, and perform on-site fabrication and welding using butt-welding, extrusion welding and hot air welding equipment. A strong workmanship standard is expected.

Qualifications

• Current forklift and driver's licence.
• Competence with workshop machinery and electric hand-tools.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, electronic).
• Safe use of small hand and power tools.
• Solid knowledge of OH&S practices.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Willingness to learn and adopt new methods.
• Experience with sheet fabrication or welding is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate engineered plastic products.
