Job summary

MineARC Systems in Perth is seeking a Plastic Injection Technician to run our brand-new plastic injection moulding machine. This hands-on role will own the injection moulding process, set up machines, monitor production, perform mould changes, and ensure quality components used in life-saving equipment worldwide.

You will read technical drawings, troubleshoot defects, maintain records, and collaborate with Engineering for new tooling trials, while upholding safety standards and driving

Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting up plastic injection moulding equipment.
• Strong understanding of moulding processes, materials and tooling.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing and product quality issues.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate plastic injection moulding machines and associated equipment
• Perform mould changes, machine start-ups and process adjustments
• Monitor production runs to ensure product quality and process consistency
• Troubleshoot moulding defects and process issues to minimise downtime
• Conduct routine maintenance and identify equipment improvement opportunities
• Receipt in raw materials
• Carry out QAQC checks in the completed plastic parts and pack for storage
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Work with Engineering teams to support new product introductions and tooling trials
• Maintain accurate production, maintenance and quality records
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety proceduresContribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity and waste reduction
