Job summary

BlueScope Distribution in Albury is seeking a Scheduler / Programmer to join the team. You will learn the plasma beamline and then focus on planning, scheduling and ensuring timely, on-spec production.

The role involves interpreting drawings, preparing files, coordinating quotes with account managers and optimizing the daily schedule to keep the line moving efficiently. Ideal candidates are curious, practical and willing to learn, with experience around machinery, drafting or warehouse

Qualifications

• Experience around machinery, production, warehousing, drafting, scheduling or hands-on operations.
• Curious, organised, practical and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer drawings and prepare files for the plasma beamline.
• Work with account managers to prepare quotes for business customers.
• Plan the daily and forward schedule for machine work.
• Prioritise orders to reduce downtime and keep production flowing.
• Spot issues before they reach the floor and adjust as needed.
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams and customers.
• Help set the pace for a small team who take pride in getting the work right.
