Cordwell’s Group is seeking an experienced Plant Operator for our Chevallum Quarry. You will operate a range of mobile quarry plant and work outdoors as part of a professional, safety‑conscious team.

The role involves daily pre‑start checks, supporting crushing and screening, stockpile movement, and maintaining clean, hazard‑free work areas on a local, long‑term roster with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mobile plant in quarry, mining, civil or construction environments.
• Strong safety awareness and hazard identification skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
• White Card (QLD) required.
• Vocational licenses or tickets for loaders, excavators or dump trucks are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant including loaders, excavators, dump trucks and other quarry machinery
• Support crushing and screening operations
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and report defects
• Maintain safe exclusion zones and follow site rules
• Assist with stockpile management and material movement
• Work collaboratively with quarry, maintenance, and transport teams

About the Role

You will operate a range of quarry plant and equipment to support daily production, including loaders, excavators, dump trucks, crushers, screens, and other mobile machinery. You’ll work as part of a tight‑knit team to maintain safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations.
