Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a hands-on Water Cart operator to join the Regional Maintenance team in Hay, NSW. You will assist in delivering road maintenance and construction activities, operating Water Carts and related plant equipment with focus on safety and quality.

You will perform pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with team members to keep communities connected by a safe road network.

Qualifications

• White Card is required for site access.
• Ability to tow trailers as needed.
• Willingness to obtain Traffic Controller and Work Zone qualifications within 3 months.
• Strong literacy and numeracy to complete work records.

Responsibilities

• Operate Water Carts and plant equipment to support road works.
• Contribute to safe and efficient maintenance and construction activities.
• Perform pre-start inspections and basic maintenance.
• Record work and communicate with the team.
