Job summary

Ridley Corporation is seeking a safety-focused Operator for our Product Distribution Centre in Cairns. This hands-on role supports safe production, handling, storage and dispatch of fertiliser products while upholding high safety, quality and customer service standards.

You will work with a team in a safety-first environment and develop skills operating fixed and mobile plant equipment, contributing to continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience operating fixed and mobile plant within production, manufacturing, logistics or distribution.
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate fixed and mobile plant equipment to support production, product handling, storage and dispatch activities.
• Complete production and dispatch activities in accordance with operational schedules, quality standards and site procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues to support plant reliability.
• Accurately complete operational records and ERP transactions (SAP/D365).
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and environmental compliance across the site.
• Follow safe work procedures and actively contribute to Ridley's Zero Harm culture.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and transport providers to achieve operational and customer service outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity and operational performance.
